Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the company said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at female individuals.
The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
