Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are set to appear in the new Hunger Games series film, Sunrise on the Reaping.
It has been confirmed that fan-favorite stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson will reprise their iconic roles in the next chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The project is now in the works.
An Important Comeback for the Franchise
Lawrence and Hutcherson will once again portray Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the characters they made famous. It is believed their appearance will take the form of a flash-forward sequence, as the main film series concluded with their characters living in peace.
This signifies the sixth film in the blockbuster Hunger Games franchise.

Sunrise on the Reaping is adapted from a recent book by series creator Suzanne Collins. It will be the second prequel film after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Once again is Francis Lawrence, who has helmed most of the previous films in the series.

The film's events are set 24 years before the first Hunger Games, spotlighting a young Haymitch Abernathy. Haymitch, later known as Katniss's mentor, is featured as a tribute in the notorious 50th Hunger Games.

- Ralph Fiennes is cast as a younger version of the menacing President Snow.
