Aryna Sabalenka ended the year with an notable twenty-three to three Grand Slam win-loss record.

The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been chosen the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second straight year.

The twenty-seven-year-old secured four tournament victories – the most on tour – including retaining the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to secure her fourth Grand Slam singles triumph.

A Year of Dominance

Throughout the year, Sabalenka competed in a circuit-leading nine championship matches, with defeats coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final at the start of the year and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The Belarusian also triumphed at the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She spent the entire year as the top-ranked player, ending 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.

This past summer, she achieved the status of being the first athlete to top 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.

Historic Achievements

Sabalenka concluded the season with a sixty-three to twelve win-loss record, and picked up a historic eleven million pounds in prize money.

She received almost eighty percent of the votes submitted by global tennis journalists.

Later this month, she is scheduled to face 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match with the aim of "elevate women's tennis to a greater prominence".
